Using Social Emotional Learning and the Sport Education Model to Teach Flag Football
Course Objectives

By the end of the session, participants will be able to explain the key features of the Sport Education Model and summarize how it differs from traditional physical education instruction.

Participants will be able to identify at least three ways the Sport Education Model supports social-emotional learning (ex. teamwork, leadership, self-management) and develop strategies to intentionally incorporate SEL into physical education lessons.

Participants will be able to identify football instructional practices that demonstrate the Sport Education Model in action.
